VINTAGE BREAKING BAD
(STAY TUNED!)

VINTAGE BREAKING BAD
(STAY TUNED!)

The idea of designing a Breaking Bad trading card set with a vintage twist was all about creating a sense of rarity — as if these were collectibles from a long-lost era. When we launched the set on Quidd, the response was incredible: the first edition sold out in seconds, and daily revenue tripled! Needless to say, I was thrilled with the results.

VALIANT HIGH

VALIANT HIGH

Valiant High is a comic series from Valiant Entertainment that reimagines all their heroes as high school students. When I was asked to design a digital trading card set for the series, I was instantly excited — the concept just screamed fun! I had this mashup of Valiant meets Saved By the Bell in mind as I worked. I even created a fresh logo for the set, and Valiant loved it so much they wanted to make it the official series logo. While it ultimately wasn’t used due to print schedule conflicts, just having my work considered was an incredible honor.

SHELFIES

SHELFIES

Shelfies was one of the biggest cross-department projects I worked on at Quidd, bringing together the design and producer teams to create interactive, playful backgrounds, accessories, and animated overlays that let users show off their collections. Many of these Shelfies were custom-made and inspired by popular titles in the app. As their popularity grew, Shelfies became a weekly project alongside regular content drops — and the result was a solid boost in new user retention and renewed excitement among existing users!

NINJA VILLAGE SHELFIE (NARUTO)

NINJA VILLAGE SHELFIE (NARUTO)

For over two decades, Naruto has been one of the biggest names in anime, following a young ninja on his journey to lead his village and protect those he loves. When we heard Naruto was coming to Quidd, the design team and I were thrilled — we knew we had to kick things off with a custom Shelfie. Drawing inspiration from Naruto’s home, Konoha (The Hidden Leaf Village),
I illustrated a Shelfie that perfectly captured the spirit of the series. The final result fit seamlessly with the launch content, and the team couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.

CAFE SHELFIE (TOKYO GHOUL)

CAFE SHELFIE (TOKYO GHOUL)

Tokyo Ghoul is another fan-favorite anime with a huge global following, and we were thrilled to bring it to Quidd. Set in an alternate Tokyo where flesh-eating ghouls hide in plain sight, the series follows Ken Kaneki as he struggles to adapt after becoming a half-ghoul. Given how central the coffee shop Anteiku is to the story, it was the perfect inspiration for our custom Shelfie. I was really pleased with how the piece turned out — and our users clearly loved it too.

SHELFIES ACCESSORIES

SHELFIES ACCESSORIES

One of the most enjoyable aspects of working on Shelfies was designing the accessories that went beyond the core items users already owned. These accessories gave users a fun, creative way to personalize their Shelfies and express themselves. As part of the design team, we often collaborated to develop Shelfies and accessories that complemented each other’s styles. I was frequently responsible for illustrating a wide range of unique accessories — here are a few examples:
